Hmm ... the first slaves sent to the colonies were white you say? I can believe that. I did some researching of my geneology and discovered that one side of my family is decended from exiled rulers in Wales, who, funny enough, had sold the other side of my family into slavery right before the ousting. My father's ancestors sold my mother's ancestory. How do you apologize for that?

ahhhhhh...people amaze me
the scholarships set forth for minorities and many of the things you all are talking about were not put out there b/c of slavery, it was b/c of the decades of oppression and hatred towards their race and how much "better" whites were compared to blacks, hispanics, etc....like it or not racism is still out there, and on here...those scholarships and advancements from African American groups are there to counter that...not slavery
i take that back, for some of the stuff i've seen on here, it really doesn't amaze me
